Nation's first academic group on high-end healthcare established in Shanghai

Health officials and medical experts home and abroad gathered in the city to discuss the development of high-end health care and foreign-invested health facilities at the International Forum of Premium Healthcare over the weekend.

The nation’s first academic group — the Committee of International and Premium Medicine Cross-Strait Medicine Exchange Association was established in the city to boost the communication and development of high-end health service in the nation.

The committee is to study international rules and establish regulations in line with international practice to regulate and improve high-end healthcare service in the city and the mainland, said Dr Gu Jingwen, director of Huashan Hospital’s International Medical Department.
