New tunnel connecting Pujian Road, Century Avenue to open on Saturday

The Yanggao Road Tunnel connecting Pujian Road and Century Avenue in the Pudong New District will open to traffic September 29, said the information office of Pudong.
Cars in Pudong going from Yangpu to Nanpu bridges can enjoy a smooth drive without a single traffic light after the tunnel opens.
The 1.8-kilometer-long tunnel has three lanes on each direction, with the speed limit set to be 60 kilometers per hour.
Apart from the tunnel, the motorway of Yanggao Road above ground which has been under reconstruction will open to the public in October.
Two overpass pedestrian bridges, built at the Yanggao Road’s junction with Lancun and Taolin roads as well as an underground pedestrian at Huamu Road, will open by the end of this year, said the Pudong authority.
