The Shanghai Expo Tourist Service Center is now in operation.

A new tourist service center at the Expo Park in the Pudong New Area will give visitors a panoramic virtual reality tour of 12 landmark attractions along the Pudong section of the 45-kilometer Huangpu River waterfront with just one click.

The Shanghai Expo Tourist Service Center features a variety of intelligent service applications including QR code, artificial intelligence, VR panoramic experience and bilingual audio guide.

Tourists will be able to watch, listen, read and "tour" a number of landmark spots such as Shanghai Tower, Oriental TV Pearl Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and China Art Museum along the 22-kilometer Pudong section of the riverfront by scanning a QR code.

A VR tour map including these attractions has been launched at the center, which also boasts advanced human-computer interaction information query systems.

The one-click tour unfolds the beautiful landscape of the Pudong riverfront, the big changes of the area and the history and stories behind these architectures, said officials with the Pudong New Area's commerce and tourism authorities.

It fills the vacuum of smart tourist service facilities in Pudong's riverfront area, officials said.

The center also provides traditional tourist services including bilingual tourism consultation, volunteer guides, free Wi-Fi and AED devices.
