Shanghai Science and Technology Museum will reduce ticket price from 60 yuan (US$8.7) to 45 yuan for adult visitors from October 1, the Pudong New Area Development and Reform Commission announced Friday.
Children under 1.3 meters, seniors over 70 years old and disabled people will be free of admission, according to the plan.
The price reduction aims to boost local tourism and it is estimated to save 25 million yuan in a year for visitors, the commission said.
