Metro announces station closures
The Metro's East Nanjing Road Station will be closed every day after 3:30pm from From October 1 to 5, the Shanghai Shentong Metro Group has announced.
Meanwhile, in order to facilitate passenger flow returning to the city, Line 2 will add extra trains from Pudong International Airport Station after regular operations end on October 6 and 7.
On October 6, three extra trains will be added at 20-minute intervals from 10:20pm. The trains will stop only at Chuansha and Guanglan Road stations.
On October 7, the three extra trains will stop at Chuansha, Guanglan Road, Century Avenue and People’s Square stations.
The extra service will only pick up passengers at the airport.
From October 1, the express trains of Line 16 which stop at fewer stations than the regular trains at weekends and holidays will add a stop, Lingang Avenue, before they reach Dishui Lake Station.
