Grab your umbrellas, drizzle and overcast conditions are predicted for much of this week.

Rain began last night, but it is expected to ease this morning and end by this afternoon. Temperatures will range between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

Forecasters said tomorrow will be overcast to cloudy, with some drizzle. There will be a break from rain on Wednesday, with a high of 23 degrees.

But Thursday will see rain return, although temperatures will remain high.

A cold front is set to arrive on Friday, bringing gusty wind and dry air. Temperatures will drop to a low of 15.

Tomorrow marks shuangjiang, or frost descending, in the Chinese calendar. Frost will start to be seen in northern China, although it won’t appear in Shanghai until the latter half of November.
