CIIE media center to open on Sunday, over 4,000 journalists to cover the event

The media center for the first China International Import Expo will open on Sunday to about 4,100 registered journalists from home and abroad, the organizers announced on Friday.

The journalists from 630 media from 75 countries and regions are covering the event.

The center has a high-speed wifi, and each internet port is equipped with 20m bandwidth. It also has a mobile live streaming platform and 4G Internet transmission system to meet the demand of new media coverage.

The center also offers various services to journalists including transportation, catering, consultation and also issues press releases.

There are lockers inside the public working space that works with a face-scanner.

Various publications on Chinese politics, economy and culture in multiple languages including English, Russian, Arabic, Polish and Turkish are available at the center.

Volunteers too provide assistance to journalists.
