An international cultural festival was held at East China Normal University over the weekend for international teachers and students from over 50 countries to show off their own cultures.

The event was the 12th of its kind held by the university in order to promote cultural exchange.

Foreign students staged performances and set up 51 booths to show folk costumes, fine handiwork and delicious food from their home countries, making the event a mini world expo.

Organizers also provided special passports for visitors to collect stamps of the countries involved.

The festival attracted not only students and teachers at the university, but also nearby residents.

There are more than 6,000 foreign students from over 130 countries at East China Normal University.
