Finger glove allegedly found in drink from popular chain
The market watchdog in Jing'an District said they will conduct an inspection on an outlet of popular milk tea chain Heytea on Tuesday afternoon following an online allegation that a rubber finger glove was found in a beverage.
The netizen, identified as "vermix," posted photos on Weibo allegedly showing the finger glove found in a drink served on Monday by the HKRI Taikoo Hui outlet of Heytea, and delivered by online food delivery platform Ele.me.
The netizen, who declined to be interviewed, said she has informed the store and was waiting for its explanation and result.
The Jing'an District Market Supervision and Management Bureau said its Nanjing Rd W. station would conduct a check on the store on Tuesday afternoon.
The store said it does not have such finger gloves and would check their surveillance footage.
