Good bill payers to get free art

Shanghai residents with good personal credit ratings are now able to visit 12 art galleries in Shanghai for free in a new measure introduced over the weekend.

Shanghai’s credit system rates all residents’ credit from 300 to 1,000 points. Those who have at least 700 points are considered to have a good or very good rating.

Such a rating is given to those with no record of failure to pay utility or phone bills, who have worked for at least 10 years, paid social security for at least six years, have had long-track records of volunteer work or received public service awards.

The 12 venues include the China Art Museum, the Power Station of Art and Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum.
