After a video of a motorist driving at over 200km/h on an elevated road in Shanghai at night went viral on Monday, police have identified the driver.
The video, probably made with a dashcam, shows the car traveling at 248km/h at 10:19pm on October 18, almost as fast as a bullet train.
The video shows the car overtaking a few other cars along the way.
Some netizens noticed that the elevated road was the Middle Ring Road (speed limit 80km/h) leading to Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone where Disneyland is located.
Police in the Pudong New Area said they will summon the driver.
