Famous Shanghai souvenirs now just a click away

The Shanghai Consumer Council has joined hands with Alibaba's Tmall, allowing consumers to purchase 43 of Shanghai's specialty products, the council said on Friday.

The representative souvenirs include Park Hotel palmier cookies, White Rabbit candies, Liushen Florida Water, Leiyunshang sachets, Fenghua soap, Xinghualou mooncakes stuffed with red bean paste, as well as toothpastes, tea, biscuits and bags.

Jewelry cases, silk scarves, tea cup sets and table runners designed by the Shanghai Museum are also on the list.

On the page of "Shanghai new consumption," these souvenirs can be bought with a simple click.

The cooperation provides easy access for consumers to buy these souvenirs, Tang Jiansheng, deputy secretary-general of the council said.

The specialty products were selected based on public voting and evaluation by experts, according to the council.
