A driverless sweeper truck designed by Autowise.ai, a Songjiang-based company, is carrying out routine cleaning at Shanghai Disney Resort.

The green truck can be seen traveling slowly along the roadside near the west bus transit of the resort. As if acting out of politeness, the truck stops whenever it encounters passengers or vehicles and waits for them to pass. It sweeps the road with two round brushes and leaves behind a clean trail.

The world’s first two driverless sweeper trucks developed by Autowise.ai underwent their first tests in Songjiang’s Tus-Caohejing Science Park last March. They passed their main road tests in August and began cleaning at Xianyue Park in southeast China’s Xiamen in September.

In October, Autowise.ai obtained an order to send its trucks to clean the Wenyi Channel in Hangzhou. In December the company’s driverless trucks were seen cleaning roads in Beijing’s Chaoyang Park.

Having completed the research and development stage, Autowise.ai is now entering the commercialization stage.

Ye Qing, co-founder and chief architect of Autowise.ai, said the wire control engineering team of the company had made breakthroughs in various technologies and the company had built an AI platform based on the core algorithm of unmanned driving.
