Signs were a turnoff
An online comment criticizing signage on Changde Road in Jing’an District has gone viral on social media.
The district authority conceded the design of the signs was “inconsiderate.” They were put up while the façade of the district’s Workers' Cultural Palace is being renovated. The authority will redesign them.
The signs were the same size, with the same black background and white characters.
When a Shanghai Daily reporter visited Changde Road on Monday morning, the signs were already covered.
