Drunk urban runner held after damaging luxury car
A man who ran over the bonnet and roof of a luxury car after drinking is going to pay a high price.
The owner of the vehicle, surnamed Zhu, went to Ruijin No.2 Road Police Station at 3:50am on March 15 to report his Lamborghini had been sabotaged.
Using surveillance camera footage, police saw a young man running across its bonnet and roof.
A man, surnamed Xu, was arrested at his apartment.
The damaged windshield
Xu allegedly said he was practicing parkour, or urban running, after drinking with his friends.
He fled after he realized he had damaged the windshield.
Police said a replacement costs 30,000 yuan (US$4,460).
Xu is now under detention and could face the criminal charge of “picking a quarrel and making trouble,” said police of Huangpu District.
