'Mini-Superheroes Saving the Planet' 2019 Michelin Sustainable Future English Speech Contest starts!
“Mini-Superheroes Saving the Planet” 2019 Michelin Sustainable Future English Speech Contest is officially launched on April 8, 2019. Organized by Shanghai Daily and its online lifestyle platform iDEALShanghai together with Michelin China, the speech contest is intended to help kids raise awareness of environmental protection by inspiring them to speak out their creative ideas for a sustainable future.
Under the theme “Mini-Superheroes Saving the Planet,” there are three groups. “Green Travel Mini-Superheroes” encourages children to think about the future and design green and smart vehicles; “Road Safety Mini-Superheroes” reminds children to pay attention to their own safety, and change others’ dangerous behaviors, including running the red light, texting while driving; “Animal Conservation Mini-Superheroes” calls on children to pay attention to climate change and protect endangered animals such as giant pandas and polar bears.
Candidates can choose one group to join in and deliver a video speech accordingly. Qualified speech videos will be available for online voting. Kids aged from 3 to 6 are welcome to join this contest. Please sign up and upload the speech video through iDEALShanghai WeChat account from April 15 to May 4.
