Students from the Wuzhong Road Primary School and Shanghai Southwest Engineering School performed a tea ceremony and culture learned during classes at the opening ceremony. Children also performed tea recitations during the ceremony.

The event was co-hosted by the Xuhui Tea Culture Society and guided by the Xuhui District Administration of Culture and Tourism.
