Expo provides platform for environmental enterprises, insiders
The 20th IE Expo China kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on Monday.
As Asia’s largest environmental-themed trade fair, the three-day event has gathered 2,047 environmental industry representatives from 25 countries and regions.
During the expo, the latest in pollution treatment innovations and technologies will be on display. Products and services include those aimed at waste and soil treatment, air quality and noise pollution, among other areas.
The Shanghai Pavilion is hosting 21 local environmental institutions and enterprises. Visitors can glimpse the achievements Shanghai has made in environmental protection over the years in fields like equipment manufacturing, environmental design and counseling, as well as scientific research and application.
The expo also serves as a platform for industry insiders, equipment suppliers and customers. On the opening day alone, 25 forums, discussions and new product unveilings were organized.
Manufacturers like Zoomlion and Fulongma presented 11 new-energy sanitation vehicles during a roadshow session to showcase how sanitation work can be more efficient with the help of technology.
The IE Expo covers an area over 150,000 square meters, larger than any previous edition of the event.
Organizers say many visitors are representatives from environmental enterprises based in India, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and other East Asia countries.
