Starting from this Friday, passengers will be able to take just one Line 2 train to travel between the city’s two airports, except during morning rush hours, Monday to Friday.
Previously most of the time they had to transfer at Guanglan Road Station from eight-carriage trains to four-carriage trains.
Four-carriage trains will only remain in operation between Guanglan Road and Pudong International Airport from 7am to 9am on workdays to ease congestion.
