Summer-like Thursday in store
It will be a summer-like day on Thursday with the mercury hitting 28 degrees Celsius and the sky a mix of sun and clouds.
But the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau has warned the gap in temperatures between day and night could be 12 degrees with a low of 16 expected.
A rain belt will move in on Friday with the high dropping to 25 degrees but the low increasing to 19.
Saturday will be dry and cloudy, while drizzle will return on Sunday and Monday.
The temperatures will range between 18 and 24 degrees from Saturday to Monday.
Saturday is the sixth solar term Guyu, or grain rain, the last day of spring in the Chinese calendar.
It’s traditionally believed that during this solar term, duckweed begins to sprout and cuckoos perch in mulberry trees.
