The art of Pudong's history on show
An exhibition of more than 100 paintings by renowned artists has opened at the new Being Art Museum in the Pudong New Area.
From well-preserved water towns to cutting-edge software parks and financial districts, the paintings reflect the achievements Pudong has made over the 29 years since its establishment.
Last year, the paintings were showcased at the China National Academy of Painting in Beijing.
The exhibition will run through May 18. The art museum opens six days a week from 10am to 5pm and admission is free. It is closed on Mondays.
Founded by the Pudong government, the new museum covers 5,100 square meters, including an underground space with fixed temperature and humidity to store artworks.
In the future, the art museum will become the community cultural hall for nearby residents where exhibitions, fairs and seminars will be held.
