Flash mob celebrates 70th anniversary

The Bund is the setting for a flash mob celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, local artists, singers, dancers and TV hosts, joined by pedestrians, staged a flash mob on the Bund to sing "My Country and I," a song made popular by Li Guyi in 1985. 

Performers included Kunqu Opera "Prince" Zhang Jun, TV hostess Ye Rong, the Fairmont Peace Hotel jazz band, model workers from Huangpu District and the Spring Children's Choir.
