Pudong will gain more autonomy in its development. It will become a pilot zone for experimental policies.
The vision was outlined in a statement after a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Shanghai Municipal Committee on Friday, Shanghai’s Information Office said in a statement on its WeChat account on Saturday.
Pudong will improve its core competitiveness and governance and special attention will be paid to strengthen ecological and environmental protection.
Bucking the trend, Pudong will achieve new achievements and gain solid momentum, the statement said.
