State Grid Shanghai Company will halt all work such as routine maintenance and removal overhead cables, near exam sites from Friday to Sunday, so as not to affect the exams.
On Thursday, workers from the company went to Jincai High School, one of the exam sites in the Pudong New Area, to make sure all electrical equipment and power sources were in good condition.
Two extra batteries and a power generator truck are standing by at the school in case of an emergency on exam days.
During the exams, the company will send emergency crews to substations near exam sites across the city.
