Shanghai to up fight against gang crime
The local politics and law committee chief stressed a stepped-up fight against gang crime, as required by the central government.
Yin Hong, also deputy Party chief of Shanghai, said during a meeting yesterday that the problems pointed out by the taskforce must be dealt with immediately.
Wu Yuliang, who leads the taskforce, has asked police to strive for better results by strengthening discipline and using technology.
Yin said the missions assigned by the taskforce must be accomplished. Long-term measures must be implemented to make the fight against gang crime a normal part of police work.
