Town visits for anti-gang crime taskforce
The national anti-gang crime taskforce visited two towns in suburban Shanghai on Wednesday.
At Sheshan Town in Songjiang District, Wu Liangyu, head of the taskforce, met police, urban management and housing management officials, market inspectors, residents’ committee officials and residents.
He heard about the latest progress in the fight against crime in the area and asked the town government to apply best practices in community management and supervision.
He urged authorities to strive to solve the problems that most concerned residents.
At New Chuansha Town in the Pudong New Area, Ma Ruimin, vice head of the taskforce, asked the local government to tackle criminals by cutting off their sources of finance and cracking down on their "protectors" in local government.
