A Finnish park showcasing the country’s educational philosophy -- exams aren't everything -- opened a branch in Shanghai’s Baoshan District on Saturday.

The Super Park is the second of its kind on the Chinese mainland, following the first opened in Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province last September.

With the ideas such as “you are made to move” and “you are the engine,” the park includes areas for adventure, games, free activities and digital experiences for children and adults -- ranging from a rock-climbing wall to trampolines, castle exploration, golf and basketball.

According to Feng Xuantian, CEO of Super Park China, each area enables students to play happily at all levels from easy to difficult while learning sporting and social skills, demonstrating the Finnish educational philosophy that prepares children for life, instead of exams.
