City's charm, achievements showcased in Beijing
A multimedia exhibition on China’s achievements and the part Shanghai has played in them over the past 70 years opened in Beijing on Tuesday.
The exhibition at the main hall of the Telegraph Tower in downtown Beijing features multimedia panoramic video shows.
Journalists from home and abroad attending a press conference on Shanghai's urban energy and core competitiveness by the State Council Information Office visited the exhibition after the presser.
A giant cubic new media installation at the exhibition displays four wide-angle photos of the Bund, urban landscapes, the busy traffic flow as well as dawn and night in the city.
Inside the installation, four large screens offer panoramic scenes of architecture, night life, ports, innovation, the natural environment and ordinary people’s lives.
Three new promotional films were released at the event.
Visitors can watch the high-definition films about city life from early morning till late night while learning about Shanghai’s determination to become a global center of finance, trade, shipping and innovation. The campaign to promote services, manufacturing, shopping and culture is also highlighted.
A new film for the second China International Import Expo also debuted. It shows the opportunities and energy that the expo has brought to the city.
Another film shows how expansion of the free trade zone, the sci-tech innovation board, and integration of the Yangtze River Delta region are progressing.
The films aim to highlight the pursuit of excellence as well as the vitality and passion of the city and its citizens, the organizer said.
