Shanghai Party Secretary, Mayor meet State Grid delegation
Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang met a delegation of the State Grid Corporation of China, led by its chairman Kou Wei, witnessing the signing of an agreement between the Shanghai municipal government and the State Grid in Shanghai on Wednesday.
Li expressed gratitude to the State Grid for its long-term efforts to guarantee supply of electricity to Shanghai and help the implementation of national strategies. He hoped the State Grid will further hasten the construction of Shanghai’s electric power infrastructure and build a world-class modern urban distribution network to better ensure the safe and reliable supply of electricity.
On future development, Li said that the cooperation between the two sides is promising, and Shanghai supports the State Grid Corporation in its push to develop new industries, new formats and new models in the city, and put more new platforms, new technologies and new products in Shanghai.
Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong hoped that the State Grid would continue to increase infrastructure investment, promote the construction of smart energy and Internet of Things, and help Shanghai improve its urban energy level and core competitiveness.
Chen Yin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Committee and executive deputy mayor of Shanghai, and Liu Guoyue, deputy general manager of the State Grid, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Zhuge Yujie, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Committee and secretary general of the CPC Shanghai Committee, also attended the meeting.
