Six companies signed cooperation agreements with Chonggu Town in Qingpu District over the weekend.
Located in the northeast, Chonggu is next to the Hongqiao Central Business District where the China International Import Expo takes place.
Town director Gu Heying said Chonggu is planning to build a technology industrial park and a rural revitalization zone.
“The park will focus on the development of a logistics industry,” said Gu.
STO Express and Deppon Express, two major logistics companies, have already set up headquarters in the town.
The park will have 29 land parcels of more than 1 million square meters.
