Rain will continue all week with the subtropical high pressure showing no signs of moving northward.

Shanghai will receive a round of rainfall from late Monday to Tuesday.

Wednesday to Friday are likely to be mostly overcast and cloudy with some brief showers. Heavy rain is expected on Saturday but Sunday will be dry.

The temperature will range between 22 and 31 degrees Celsius.

The 11th solar term xiaoshu, or lesser heat, fell on Sunday, which indicates a change in temperature.

During xiaoshu, there are often more thunderstorms in southern China, sometimes with hail.

Following xiaoshu, the subtropical high pressure will bring more heat and then there will be sanfu, the hottest period in summer.
