Seven fake websites pretending to be authorized funeral and interment providers have been closed, the city's civil affairs authorities said on Tuesday.
In addition, 222 web pages were removed for releasing fake funeral and interment information.
Residents found fake Longhua Parlor information online via Baidu. The fake parlor was charging more than twice that of the real parlor.
They were shut down during a crackdown by the bureau and the city's Internet Information Office.
