Food delivery workers from Meituan Dianping will distribute anti-fraud leaflets to customers over the next three months.

In Shanghai, the leaflets will carry alerts as well as the phone numbers of local police anti-fraud units.

Telecom and Internet frauds are the target of this campaign.

Delivery woman Liu Yufang said she was ready to spread the important message.

“I hope to help contribute to telecom and Internet security of our society,” she said.

He Liang, head of security affairs of Meituan, said the firm will also use its app to provide anti-fraud information.

Telecom frauds are some of the most-reported crimes in Shanghai.

The nationwide campaign has been initiated by the State Council. Meituan Dianping has several million delivery personnel.
