Contests raise health awareness
As part of ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and knowledge among the public, the first preliminary round of a national competition kicked off at Shanghai Cancer Center on Thursday. Plays and lectures about health and how to prevent diseases were presented by 26 groups.
The competition, announced in May, had received over 6,000 entries by June. A total of 78 works are taking part in three preliminary contests and the final next month.
Entries cover major topics such as elderly diseases, women’s diseases, children’s myopia prevention and control, spine health, Internet addiction, drug use, hospital visiting and tumors.
Winners will be selected by professional experts and a public vote.
