Party Secretary Li meets BASF top official
Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang met Martin Brudermueller, chairman of the Board of Executive Directors and chief technology officer of BASF Group, in Shanghai yesterday.
As the largest economic center of China, Shanghai is accelerating the development of environment friendly industries, Li said at the meeting. BASF Group is a leading chemical company in the world, and Shanghai hopes that BASF will allocate more and new technologies, products and projects with advantages of safe production and environment friendly features to the city, he added.
Shanghai will provide better service and conditions for enterprises from home and abroad, including BASF, to invest and develop in the city, the Party Secretary said.
BASF is confident about Shanghai’s development and the China market, and will continue to expand investment and join hands with Chinese partners to put forward sustainable development in the future, Brudermueller said.
City leaders Weng Zuliang and Zhuge Yujie also attended the meeting.
