Typhoon closes Disney Resort

Shanghai Disney Resort said it will be closed on Saturday due to the influence of super typhoon Lekima.

An orange typhoon alert was issued by Shanghai Meteorological Bureau at 10:10pm on Friday, while a yellow rainstorm alert remains in place.

In China's color-coded weather-warning system, red represented the most severe weather, followed by orange, yellow and blue.

In a statement on Friday night, the resort said people who had booked tickets for admission to Shanghai Disneyland on Saturday can visit on any other day within the next six months.

For those who booked tickets for the "Beauty and the Beast" Mandarin production on Saturday, they can contact their purchasing channel to reschedule a date or obtain a refund.
