The Jing’an Temple Metro station is expecting a large number of passengers from Wednesday to next Tuesday as the station is the closest to the venue for the 2019 Shanghai Book Fair.

Shanghai Shentong Metro Group said they are expecting two peaks of passenger flow during the book fair. One from 7am to 2pm when many people will be going to the fair, the other from 3:30pm to 7:30pm when they start to leave.

Passengers can reach Shanghai Exhibition Center from exit 8 of the station, Shanghai Metro said.

It said extra manpower will be allocated to guide passengers and keep order.

This year's book fair has attracted more than 500 publishers from home and abroad, and more than 500 new books will be launched.
