Oceans of garbage come "Wandering Back"
An art installation on environmental protection "Wandering Back" is being staged at China Maritime Museum in Lingang New Area.
All the exhibits are made by garbage.
On the first floor of the museum, blue foam and sand, representing the ocean, is strewn with garbage, picked up all over the world.
Kristin Iglum, the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai and one of the initiators of the installation, collected garbage from the consulate and brought it to the museum.
Wang Aolin, a professional diver, collected empty bottles and straws from the pedestrians at Xintiandi.
The exhibition will run through October.
