'Awaken Youth' to hit Shanghai stage

The original musical “Awaken Youth” will have its Shanghai run from Thursday to Sunday at ET Theater.
The show features performances from pop idols such as Li Zixuan and Feng Junjie. Broadway's Fiz Shapur is the show’s music director.
The musical features 16 original songs and diverse styles of dance.
According to Ji Xiang, founder of Oriental Awakening Culture Agent Co and producer of the show, it took around 10 months to create the musical.
Following its Shanghai performance, the show will begin a national tour later this year. A film and TV series based on the story will also be developed.
