8 Utah crash victims discharged from hospital

The crash occurred near Bryce Canyon National Park around noon. 

Four Chinese tourists, including two from Shanghai, were killed in a bus crash near Bryce Canyon National Park in the US state of Utah around 10am local time on Friday, Shanghai's tourism authorities said on Saturday night.

The tour group organized by Shanghai Zhuyuan International Travel Agency has 29 tourists and one tour guide. Among them, 16 are from Shanghai, and the rest are from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hebei and Heilongjiang provinces.

By 5pm local time on Saturday, 18 of the tourists were still in hospital, including three whose condition was described as critical. Eight have been discharged.

Ten employees of the travel agency have gone to Utah and visits for the families of the tourists will be organized soon.

An investigation is underway.
