The renowned State Ballet of Georgia is to present Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s classic “Swan Lake” at Daning Theater in November.

It is listed as a program on the 21st China Shanghai International Arts Festival, which runs from October 18 to November 17.

“Swan Lake” tells a time-honored romantic love story of Princess Odette, who is turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer.

Romantic fairy tales, elegant classical dances and Tchaikovsky’s iconic music has ensured “Swan Lake” is not only a tale for our time but a masterpiece for generations to come.

The production of the show, choreographed and directed by Alexei Fadeyechev, will restore the classic’s charm while adding new poetic elements to the original ballet, with two acts and four scenes.

“Dance of the Little Swans” in Act 1 and “32 Fouettes” of the black swan in Act 2 are two of the very best scenes in the history of world ballet. This edition will feature fascinating dance moves and spectacular settings. The show’s artistic director is famous ballerina Nina Ananiashvili, who has garnered many prestigious awards of ballet worldwide.
