Cooler temps and rain in the forecast
Cool autumn winds will arrive in Shanghai on Saturday to bring the high temperature down to 25 degrees Celsius, according to the city’s weather authority.
The first three days of the National Day break have seen a dramatic turn of weather, from torrential rains earlier in the week to sunny skies and a high of 30 degrees on Thursday.
The approaching cold front, which recently brought temperatures down in Beijing, will bring mild winds and rain to the city as well.
With the cold air lingering over Shanghai, temperatures will continue dropping. On the morning of October 7, temperatures will reach 18 degrees.
The mercury will rise again after the break, the weather authority said.
