Shanghai's strengths on show in new CIIE promo
A new promotional video about the second China International Import Expo was released today by the Shanghai Information Office.
With the same New Era, Shared Future theme as the first CIIE, the video depicts Shanghai from the aspects of "culture, profession, innovation and vigor," reflecting the city's pursuit of excellence.
In the cultural section, the video features the renovation of Shanghai's iconic Wukang Building (formerly the Normandie Apartments), an architect's lecture at the 52nd-floor Duoyun Bookstore in Shanghai Tower, the application of traditional cartoon Monkey King in the poster of this year's Shanghai International Film Festival, and the whole city's efforts to make garbage classification a daily norm.
The profession section depicts the daily work of ordinary people across the city, including the caretaker of the 91-year-old Shanghai Customs House clock, the daily routine of local Metro workers, and the designing process of mobile application developers.
The part about innovation displays the latest achievements the city has made in manufacturing, finance and information technology, among others. It includes the Lingang Special Area — the newly added section to the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the single-window platform that makes government services more efficient, the 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, the China International Import Expo and the Shanghai 2035 Master Plan.
The last section illustrates the city's "charm, vigor and inclusiveness," which makes Shanghai a place where people can come to realize their dreams.
The video is presented by the Shanghai Information Office and was produced by Motion Magic.
