Nearly 250 enterprises from Zhejiang Province will participate in two job fairs on Friday and Saturday in Shanghai, offering over 5,600 jobs in total.

This is the 17th year that Zhejiang employers have come to Shanghai as a group to recruit high-quality talent.

The enterprises cover more than 20 industries, including information technology, equipment manufacturing, finance, biomedicine and artificial intelligence.

More than 40 percent of the jobs on offer require at least a master’s degree and about 30 percent require a doctoral degree.

One of the job fairs will be held at Fudan University on Friday afternoon with 174 enterprises offering more than 3,700 jobs related to pharmaceuticals, chemical and material engineering. These include about 1,400 teaching and research jobs offered by higher-education institutions and 1,013 posts in biomedical research and medical services.

The other fair will be held on Saturday morning at the Golden Tulip Hotel, at 2000 Yan’an Road W.

There will be a special section to host over 70 state-owned enterprises, offering 362 jobs. The average annual pay offered is about 150,000 yuan (US$21,140), while the highest salary is 2 million yuan offered by Zheshang Insurance for a chief actuary.
