The world's best dancers are in action on the waterfront of Yangpu District over the weekend for the debut show of World of Dance (WOD) tournament in China.

Twenty street dance groups such as ACS and NOTING ST#0# have been performing, teaching and mixing with audiences at the Shanghai International Fashion Center, a former textile factory.

The Yangpu waterfront was the birthplace of China's modern water, electricity, shipbuilding and textile companies. Many of the industrial buildings have been preserved. The fashion center, where the WOD Live event is being held, was once the largest textile plant in Asia.

One of the factories now contains a huge fashion stage for shows and performances.
