Sunday was cold, with the lowest temperature downtown in the early morning standing at 4.6 degrees Celsius and below zero in the suburbs. The lowest temperature of Jinshan was 2.9 degrees below zero, Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.
Monday will be similar with the mercury hovering between 8 and 15 degrees as the daytime high. There may be noticeable air pollution that persists through the week.
Tuesday will be little different, but cloudier. Wednesday may be slightly cooler, Thursday may turn slightly sunnier.
On Friday, the mercury will start climbing again, reaching as high as 15 degrees, with the same again on Saturday.
A cloudy Sunday will feel a little warmer.
