Zhangyuan, a well-preserved shikumen neighborhood in Jing’an, is set to be redeveloped by a commercial makeover of the Nanjing Road W. area after residents moved out in February. Most of the 170 historical structures will be retained and restored.
February 28, Changfeng Ocean World
Two female beluga whales, Little White and Little Grey, met audience members in Shanghai for the last time at Changfeng Ocean World in Putuo District. They were transported by air to their new home in a whale sanctuary in Iceland in June.
Cherry flowers are in full blossom at Gucun Park in Baoshan District. The annual flower festival attracted thousands of visitors.

July 5, Shanghai Higher People's Court
