Broadway theater, folk music shows and a Scottish bagpipe performance will grace Huaihai Road as part of the Christmas celebrations of Hong Kong Plaza, a major shopping mall on the road.

Besides, photos of the theater performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, a cultural project initiated in 2012, will introduce avant-garde foreign plays to Shanghai, together with furniture and art installations.

Along the road, a special Christmas tree, made up of 27 giant Tiffany boxes and mouse statues to mark the Year of the Rat, has lit up the road and become a popular photo site.

On December 23, the world’s second permanent Tiffany Blue Box Café, after the one on Fifth Avenue in New York, will open to the public. On the second floor of the shopping mall, it will offer breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
