About 4,000 people welcomed 2020 on a sporting note by participating in a running event at the Shanghai International Resort in the Pudong New Area.
Olympic gymnastics champion Chen Yibing led the 7.8-kilometer race, which started at 8:45am at the Maxus.
After finishing the race, participants enjoyed a music party and a variety of interactive games. Everyone received a special souvenir medal to welcome the upcoming Year of the Rat.
The Shanghai International Resort covers 7 square kilometers, including the Shanghai Disney Resort.
