Suspension to protect children and staff

Shanghai has ordered all training organizations and nurseries to suspend operations from now to February 29 to prevent the spread of coronavirus-related pneumonia.

The city’s office of the joint force for comprehensive regulation on the training market released the notice on Thursday to safeguard the health of children and staff. 

The office said a new notice will be released if a longer suspension is needed.

Online courses are not affected.

So far, Shanghai has reported 16 coronavirus cases, including an 88-year-old man in a critical condition. Another 22 suspected cases are undergoing tests.
